Revolutionary Girl Utena Episode 12: "For Friendship, Perhaps"

Oooh ya ya ya ya yaaaaaaaaaaaa
Oh baby baby baby
I'll always love youuuuuuu
AJ:ALKJA:LKJ
o_o

Anthy bids Utena a farewell. :'(

~story~

K so um nothing really makes sense BUT Utena was going all "emo" and "girly" and "NORMAL" and she was all like "fuck this shit" and she duelled Touga again and she won and we learned that Anthy can make the sword all magical and shit and if only Utena would have fucking known that then none of this shit would've happened but anyways Utena got her ugly clothes shred to rags by Touga but that's OK because they were super ugly but she gets to wear her old uniform now. OH and the slaps were great. So to summarize: we don't know what the hell is going on, the arc only has one more episode and nothing is explained, and whatever. (this is the most unprofessional review ever x_x)

Wakaba visits Utena.

~art~

Well there were stupid rose borders and during the fight scene the wall (which has been there before but was never commented on) was in the way and it was obnoxious and no one at our reviewing headquarters thought it was necessary.

Touga stalks Utena.

THERE. WAS. A. NEW. SONG. as we walked up to the battle arena and it was nice and great and perfect and so much better than "THE ABSOLUTELY DESTINY APOCALYPSE". But all hope was shattered when we heard the normal battle crap that took place during the, YOU GUESSED IT, the battle.

Utena slaps Wakaba.

~character~

Wakaba is the most stupid bitch ever and I've had more than enough of her and she needs to go die. She acts like she fucking understands when not even Utena, Anthy, or US the VIEWERS don't even understand and when she got slapped I was in my chair cheering with tears of joy streaming from my face. Utena went through this whole "emo" phase where she felt this need to be "normal". Personally, I blame PMS but whatever. And then she wanted Anthy back and then they both realized that they were both BFFs for like ever girlfriend. Like OMG lol. Touga was having more se-- "kissing" with more whor-- "girlfriends" right in front of Anthy (who he is engaged to - cause hes a manwhore). And yeah that's really it. OH. Miki is upset that Touga has Anthy and he doesn't.

Wakaba slaps Utena.

~overall~

This episode receives a B. It was important but we still don't know what the h*ll is going on.

The sword after Anthy kissed it to make it magical.

~prediction diary~

-WE MEET DIOS (prolly not but I can hope right)
-It's lame to only have one prediction so pretend another one is right here

See you next time bitc-- "readers"!!

Revolutionary Girl Utena Episode 11: "Graceful and Ruthless; the One Who Picks the Flower"

OMG LOL
Haven't posted in like OMG five days!
OMGOMGOMGOMG LOL
Well here is a review
LOL
Warning: Language is in this review. English.

Wakaba made a lunch.

~story~

To summarize: Utena duels Touga and loses. Everything else was either dragged out or unimportant for the most important except for the part where Utena realizes that she wants Anthy to be happy and Utena wants to keep Anthy to be hers (which she was against a few episodes before but WHATEVER) and then as previously stated they duel (for some random reason - they never announced they were dueling or anything. they were just having a nice lovely lunch and then BAM duel). That's really all that happened in this episode. The duel was seriously half of this episode's length. Yeah.

Touga watches Utena, Anthy, and Wakaba mysteriously from a distance.

MORE. ANNOYING. ROSE. BORDER. - THE. ROSES. IN. THE. CORNER. OF. THE. SCREEN. SUCKED. - THE. SHADOW. PEOPLE. WERE. DUMB. - UTENA. AND. TOUGA'S. SHADOWS. DURING. THE. DUEL. WERE. TERRIBLY. TERRIBLE. YET. THE. SHADOWS. FOR. THE. SHADOW. PEOPLE. THAT. WE. HATE. WERE. PERFECTLY. PERFECT. - KILL. ME. NOW.

Touga talks with balloons (???) floating in the background.

~sound~

Heard a few new OST tracks (nothing too wonderful though). They were sad and weird. They played two insert songs. The main one (NO SUBS THIS TIME. YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS) and this new one that really wasn't very different from all the other previous insert songs so you could basically say it was the same thing but yeah.

Touga tells Anthy she is a caged bird.

~character~

Anthy has gone from most likable to loser-child who throws herself into the arms of the manwhore/whore that she is currently engaged to because she is a robotic little loser that has no soul and is just AGJ:ALHJ:LAKJ:KAJ. Utena is going emo and has finally given up on everything in life because she has lost control of Anthy. Someone needs to slap her and let her know slavery became illegal in the 1800s (and it doesn't help that Anthy is the only Black in anime EVER - not trying to sound racist :|). Touga is a manwhore who is going to rape Anthy tonight as you can tell as she seductively jumps willingly into his arms and then they seductively walk off leaving Utena to frickin sit there and drown in her tears and Anthy's just like "LOL bitch". Basically: cry me a river, build a bridge on top of it, then jump off and DROWN. Wakaba made a guest appearance. Haven't seen her in quite some time.

Utena and Touga duel.

~overall~

This episode receives a B. The only thing that saved this episode was the "WOW" factor. Utena actually lost a duel! But there were even more questions opened up and absolutely none of them were answered. They keep reanswering the things that we've already known since episode one which is annoying cause it is.

Utena loses the duel to Touga.

~prediction diary~

-Utena is going to duel Touga again
-Utena is going to go emo and act all girly
-Utena either will win Anthy back or she won't

See you again<3

Another Episode 01: "Rough sketch"

So I know that we are reviewing Utena right now
But we decided we will also review an ongoing series!
Every Tuesday (or Wednesday...) we will do a review of Another
So that you can watch the series along with us!
Yeah!

Kouichi in the hospital.

~story~

This story's set-up is very similar to another anime (Kanon). Boy moves to a town he had visited in the past but doesn't remember anything but some of the people there remember him and he is going to discover his past while at the new school he is attending. Not very original as it was done in 1999 by Key. And that was done brilliantly so this has a lot to live up to. But this is a completely different genre of anime so hopefully it goes in a completely different direction and is perfect in a completely different way. Anyways, Kouichi (our main character) gets super sick right before he starts school and in the hospital he meets Mei (or Misaka - still don't know which name she is preferred to be called so for the time being it will be Mei since that's shorter and I'm a lazy child). Mei is a dark child who was revealed to have been super popular but died at that school 26 years ago but some of the people in that class can still see her and everyone knows about her and Kouichi can obviously see her so I guess that's bad or something. At the end of the episode she informs him that he was involved with death (murders perhaps?) in some way and that he shouldn't be around her any longer.

Representatives from the class come to visit him.

~art~

Some of the most beautiful art is done here in Another. The art is such great quality and everything looks beautiful. During the scene changes there are really weird dolls that show up for just a second or two and they're kind of strange and out of place but it is almost guaranteed that their purpose will be explained in one of the later episodes cause I doubt they were put there for no reason.

Kouichi and Mei in the elavator.

~sound~

The opening theme is a generic ALI PROJECT anime song. While it's good for a horror anime, it's nothing that one would put onto their iPod and listen to non-stop on repeat. The OST is pretty generic for a horror anime. The ending theme is truly one beautiful piece of work. It's a really nice soft piano song and is probably the brightest part of the whole episode.

Kouichi starts school.

~character~

As of this episode, Kouichi and Mei are the only two characters that stick out. There are some classmates who are more prominent (the ones who visit him in the hospital for example) but the only names that I can remember are Kouichi and Mei. Kouichi is obvlivious to his whole past in this town even though the whole school, his grandparents, and aunt all know about it (but won't tell him. Great relationship there). The prologue told us that Mei is dead so hopefully that isn't the big shock of the storyline and there better be something even more shocking and outrageous yet to be unfolded. All of the other students get all freaked out when Kouichi says he can see Mei (WHAT?! it's not normal to see and talk to people who died 26 years ago?? o_o I do everyday...)

The class meets Kouichi.

~overall~

This episode receives an A-. While it's not the most original storyline in the world, it seems very promising and probably one of the better Winter 2012 animes out there.

Kouichi talks to Mei on the roof.

~prediction diary~

-More information about Mei's death will be revealed

See you next week!!
